About faithfuld

Sept 30 will be final fema appeals. I hope God listens to my prayers or finds a way for us to fix the roof and replace the sheetrock like I mentioned I'm scared of mold because when my children were young and I was naive the upstairs apt. was leaking and my children ended years later with chronic bronchitis and I don't want my grand  children to end up with the same because some agent from fema felt our damage was minimal and livable we don't have the funds and that's the real truth with people just working to buy gas and working to buy gas again. It's a vicious cycle that the government is putting us through because they should freeze the price of gas but somebody is making the $$$ and the little man suffering and not making ends meet. I feel for those people that don't even have a job. all the money they are raising for political debates and such should be to help fellow americans and then we will know who is the american president hero.

another broke college student....

Where to begin? I guess things could always be worse but when you're fishing at the bottom of the barrell it's kind of hard to look on the brighter side of things, ya know? I'm collapsing under a bit of debt, and I don't know who or where to look to for help. Friends and family all have their own money problems and I don't want to become a burden, but I need money. Any sort of money. I'm not the type of gal that goes out and buys new clothes or goes to clubs and wastes it on drinks with her income, I spend all I have on bills. School loans, car loan, personal loan, living expenses and the like. I barely have enough money to travel from place to place as gas prices have really impacted my life. My pell grant for college this next semester is incredibley low so this means I have to pay for books and supplies out of my own pocket. I don't know where I'm going to get the money and I'm scared I might have to miss a semester or two just to save up money to buy books. I'm studying to become an art teacher but it's been a long road, as I'm fronting all of the money on my own. Ugh, gotta love the college life.

School Loans, depressing

I am so depressed.  I just finished nursing school and passed my boards.  I should be happy right?  I also have a new husband and step daughter... should be happy right?  And my step daughter has no real mom...her mom signed her rights away and went away to drink alcohol when she was 2.  I have been in their lives and helping with her since she was 4.  We are now married, she is 10.  Anyway, I would happy with my life if I did not have an $80,000 school loan hanging over my head.  The school loan is for another school... Court Reporting.  I went to Court Reporting (stenography) school for about 7 years... which added up to about $45,000.  Now with interest and time it's up to $80, and over the 30 year plan they put me on, it will be $200,000.  And now I have to tell my husband.  He was so excited about my new wages, and now I have to throw a wrench in it.  I only have the loan because I am not a quitter, and I was trying to go through the school and work at the same time, which is impossible with that line of work.  They finally told me I was out of loans and that I could not finish the school.  I made A's in all the academics, but the last 4 years was just trying to get to 225 words a miniute on that steno machine.. Ug!.  Anyway, I am very depressed and totally screwed and would love any help that anyone could offer.  With my husband I was able to not work and go to nursing school, which I am now done with... but now all the money will go to those damn loans.  Does anyone know what I can do to find a 'past-school-loan grant'?

I am a single mom aged 41. i'd like to try to buy a house for my very small family. i want to give my daughter some stability. however. i cannot afford it, because i have an overwhelming school debt hanging over my head. any tips or suggestions on how to pay it back or have some of it forgiven would be most appreciated.

also, the father of my baby will not get a job and pay his support to her. it is causing quite a lot of strain on my finances also...

any help would be paid forward as soon as possible in any way i can.

thanks/
